Just a quick note to let you know that the cows are fine. Tomorrow’s weather will be a little cloudy but warm nevertheless. Kinrooi (the blue blot on the map) happens to be in the zone with the highest temperatures tomorrow.

A recent study unveiled that a lot of Belgians do not know that milk products are actually made of milk. They mistakenly think this is done with milk powder.

Time to come and visit the milk farm with your kids and discover how a milk farm has changed over the years! And thanks to Danone, we can afterwards enjoy a healthy brunch and ditto goodie bag. This time we got room for 30 girl geeks and any (small) kids they wish to tag along.

The 44th edition of Brussels Girl Geek Dinner (well, a brunch actually) will be held at Mieke and Maartens’milk farm in Kinrooi (Dolenweg 1, 3640 Kinrooi). Mieke and Maarten are both active on the farm and they look after 90 milk cows. Also the children Jill, Robbe and Lien are very happy to live on the farm. Son Robbe knows all the numbers of the milk cows and keeps an eye on them.
Christiane and Mathieu, Maartens’ parents founded the milk farm and still help out.

• 10:00 Back to the milk roots, a tour of the milk farm, given by Mieke & Maarten (one for the girl geeks and one for the kids)
