Brussels Girl Geek Dinner

About

Girl Geek Dinners are events for females who class themselves as girly and geeky. The events have a technical focus and are light hearted and fun.
This blog was created by Clo Willaerts to set up a Brussels Girl Geek Dinner.
Idea inspired by Sarah Blow of London Girl Geek Dinners. WP Design by Ine Dehandschutter. Adapted Girl Geek Dinners logo by Carolien. Original logo by Cole Henley.

BGGD #8 for the win: a commissioned artwork by Jan Leenders aka twit2art

Posted in Sponsor love, Girl Geek Dinners by Clo Willaerts on the September 17th, 2008

foto-jan-leenders.jpgJan Leenders is sponsoring BGGD #8 with a commissioned artwork. One lucky girl will be able to order a large canvas featuring that favourite sacoche of hers. Or something else of course. You can come up with any theme or subject and Jan will turn it into an artwork. Size of the painting will be 100 x 100 cm or 100 x 70 cm, depending on the subject/design. That’s large. Who said size didn’t matter?

Jan Leenders is a Belgian artist whom you might know from his Twit2art art project. Twit2art works likes this: you send him a message via Twitter (to @twit2art) and he turns that twit into a painting. What makes this project special is its price strategy: the first painting costs € 1, the second € 2, the third € 3 and so on. So if you’re fast, it’s cheap. Or at least, it was cheap because currently he’s up to painting number 53.

How cool is that.

So, if you’re still blogging this, the complete  sponsor link love list is now Vooruit.be, IBBT.be, iets.be and JanLeenders.com.
